HOW DEBT SETTLEMENT WORKS

Debt settlement is a program whereby we work with your creditors to reduce the amount of debt you are obligated to repay with the goal of helping you to live a debt free life and avoid Bankruptcy.

We will provide you a Free Consultation when you call in to assess your situation and evaluate all of your viable options. If debt settlement is the best program for you, we will work with you to develop a payment plan tailored to your budget and decide on an appropriate timeframe for you to get out of debt as quickly as possible. We will then obtain all of the necessary documentation from you in order to contact your creditors and provide to you a proper repayment plan.

Unsecured debts that are eligible for settlement are:

  1. Credit Card/ Dept Store
  2. Medical Bills
  3. Personal Loans (unsecured)
  4. Repossessions
  5. Past Due Utility Bills
  6. Overdue Rent
  7. 2nd Mortgage Deficiency (from foreclosure or short sale)

Debts that are NOT eligible for settlement are:

  1. Student Loans
  2. Mortgage Payments
  3. Car Payments
  4. Secured Loans
  5. Income Taxes

Your current level of unsecured debt will be skillfully negotiated on your behalf and ultimately you will end up paying a fraction of the debt owed. Generally, we estimate we can reduce your debt by 40% to 55%* of the current total.

We will set you up with an affordable monthly deposit schedule, which is determined on a client-byclient basis between you and your debt specialist at ACI. Based upon what you are able to deposit each month into your trust account, we can determine how many months your personalized program will last, and when you will ultimately be debt free. Throughout the program, we will maintain communication with your creditors in a unique way that sets us apart from other companies and enables us to tender you better and perhaps quicker results. Please contact one of our debt relief specialists for further details on our practices.

Upon enrollment, we will determine your level of delinquency and contact your creditors based on your ability at that time to pay your debt. Reaching a settlement usually takes a significant amount of correspondence between ACI and the creditor. Once a settlement has been reached, you will be advised of the offer and have the opportunity to accept or reject it. If you have chosen to accept the settlement, we will pay the agreed upon amount from your Trust account. This is only done with your authorization, whether verbal or written. If you have chosen to reject the offer we will continue to negotiate on your behalf to get you the best possible settlement.

Our main goal is to get you out of debt timely and nominally. We only work for our clients and not for the benefit of the creditors. Becoming debt free is the first step to becoming financially secure, and debt settlement may be your best option. Once you have graduated from our program, ACI will be there for you to provide advice on how to repair your credit rating in order to build a financially secure future and remain debt-free.
